Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard is the only vineyard/winery in Montgomery County, Maryland—only a 35 minute drive from Washington, D.C. It is identifiable by its signature red barn, silo and windmill. We encourage you to visit the vineyard and winery in 2006. The vineyard is located in the rolling hills of Comus, Maryland. The 85-acre farm abuts the scenic Sugarloaf Mountain conservation and recreation area. The mountain is a Registered Natural Landmark with a wide variety of outdoor recreational pursuits including hiking, horseback riding, biking, rock-climbing, picnicking and communing with nature.
