The Arts Center at the College of DuPage is in its second decade of presenting the full spectrum of visual and performing arts, from professional and student theater, to music, dance, comedy and opera. The $14.4 million Arts Center is home to five resident professional companies: The Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, DuPage Opera Theatre, Jazz Ensemble, New Classic Singers and New Philharmonic in its 795-seat Mainstage, 200-seat soft-thrust stage, and 60-seat "black box." Operas and concert performances usually take place on the Mainstage, with smaller student productions in the black box. Buffalo Theatre Ensemble uses the thrust space, where previous performances have included "Sylvia" and "Into the Woods."
