In a time of ever increasing conformity in art and music, Reed Turner offers a unique sound and distinctly personal style. Sentimental and insightful, his songs maintain a southern politeness and light-hearted sense of humor. His debut album All My Running demonstrates the many facets of his personality in the form of ten songs, running the stylistic gamut from folk to hard rock. He speaks in a voice that is simple yet evocative, intimate yet universal, and ultimately true.
Raised in Austin, TX, Turner graduated from Boston's Berklee College of Music in 2008 as an award-winning songwriter. In December of 2008, he collaborated with renowned producer, songwriter and musician Clay Cook (John Mayer, Zac Brown Band, Shawn Mullins) to begin recording what would become his first album, "All My Running". Cook would later write of the album "I'm very, very proud of it. It's my favorite record that I've ever done."
"All My Running" was released in March to much critical acclaim for both the songwriting and vocals. His alternative folk-rock style has been attracting broad attention, garnering airplay both in the U.S. and Europe. |
