What you need to know about me is that I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC!!! I always have and always will. The soundtrack to my earliest memories would include songs from Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Don Williams, Keith Whitley, Earl Thomas Conley, and Patsy Cline. I'm lucky to have had parents and grandparents that surrounded me with great music. I also am a fan of rock, pop and show tunes, but my heart has always been most moved by a great country song. I would say that is the number one reason why I call Nashville, Tennessee home. Nine years ago I left my hometown Morton, Washington (population about 900), to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. I attended Belmont University in hopes of learning how to better navigate this business of music. I don't know if it has helped any, but I know that it has cost me alot of money and will continue to until I have my first big hit. Speaking of big hits....that is what I am currently working on. I signed a publishing deal with Larga Vista Music four and a half years ago and have since had cuts on Amanda Wilkinson, Rebecca Lynn Howard and most recently, Heartland. Everyday I am writing towards that big hit that will propel me into a much higher tax bracket. Until then, you can catch me performing at any number of Nashville venues (French Quarter Cafe, Bluebird Cafe, Star Cafe). |
