Rev is a rising singer, rapper, and lyricist in Washington, DC, whose talent lies in producing lyrically-bound hip hop music with the smooth feel of jazz. Starting at the age of three, Rev was known for coming up with musical melodies on the fly which developed into full impromptu songs as he got older. He was reintroduced to his love for music by an invitation from a friend to write a verse and rap it in the AU campus recording studio. From then on, Rev was hooked. A pen and a pad became his obsession as he began to finally record his lyrical melodies in his heart to written form. Rev performed his first major hit “Counting Stars” at a university talent show at his alma mater. Since then, Rev has performed at several venues across the city, including Busboys and Poets, the Mason Inn, and the Rock and Roll Hotel. Currently, Rev is finishing up his debut album “An Ode to Jazz” |
