 Who is Butch Hancock? Simply the best songwriter this country has ever produced, and I'll stand on Steve Earle's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that. In addition to being a great solo artist, Butch is also one-third of the Texas supergroup, The Flatlanders, with Joe Ely and Jimmie Dale Gilmore.
